FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q:How do they work and what makes them different?
A:The Freedom Clasp™ is a mechanical clasp offering "magnetic assistance". The magnet simply guides the clasp together to make it easy to put on. Once engaged, the clasp stays secure due to the inter-locking design, which prevents it from disengaging until the wearer decides to remove it. To remove while worn on a necklace, simply twist each side of the clasp in the opposite direction. To remove while worn on a bracelet, apply tension to the bracelet and insert your fingernail into the groove on either side of the clasp, apply pressure and the clasp will disengage.

A:We have individuals with pacemakers wearing our clasps. However, out of an abundance of caution, please consult with your doctor and/or the manufacturer of the particular pacemaker.
Q:What type of magnet is used in The Freedom Clasp™?
A:We use only epoxy coated neodymium rare N52 earth magnets. By weight, they are the strongest magnets in the world.
Q:Will the magnet strength wane with time?
A:As a practical matter, not at all. Neodymium magnets are permanent magnets. They lose less than 1% holding power over 100 years. Neodymium magnets are also anti-rust.
